ABSTRACT
An increase in intracranial pressure (ICP) is a pathological condition which requires urgent management to prevent further neurologic injuries. If the brain compliance and compensatory mechanism are worn out, an increase in intracranial parenchymal volume will be directly translated into ICP aggravation. Here, we will focus on how ICP is generated, and what we can learn from ICP wave form, and what should we react to an ICP elevation.
