Tuberculous Meningitis Showing Spontaneous Regression in Clinical Course

ABSTRACT
Background: Spontaneous recovery of tuberculosis is well known concept especially in pulmonary tuberculosis. Spontaneous regression of tuberculous meningitis, however, is rarely reported. There were only 6 case reports of spontaneous regression of tuberculous meningitis. Case Report: We describe a 65 year-old woman who showed spontaneous recovery progress of meningitis symptoms. Conclusions: The underlying cause of meningitis was revealed as tuberculosis by the repeated polymerase chain reaction in cerebrospinal fluid.
